What's it like cruising in the Virgin Islands

Breathtakingly beautiful beaches, superb snorkel and scuba diving hideaways, lush green mountains, and friendly anchorages are just some of the reasons why this is a must-visit destination. Island hoping is easy and convenient because the islands are relatively close to one another.

The #weather conditions in the Virgin Islands are idyllic all-year round. This is another reason why this area is considered one of the best cruising grounds in the world. The trade winds are nearly constant, ranging from 10-25 knots, allowing for wonderful sailing. These cooling trade winds also keep it pleasant aboard. The water is warm and inviting no matter the time of the year. Temperatures ranges from 74°F to 84°F (24°C to 31°C).

St. Thomas and Tortola are just over two hours away from Miami and three and a half from New York, so island paradise is just a short flight away.

No matter your interests, you will find tons of one-of-a-kind adventures in the #USVI and #BVI. Snorkel, kayak, paddle-board or kite surf, tour a centuries-old rum distillery, hike in the area’s numerous nature trails, take an ATV or horseback riding tour, sip a tropical cocktail at one of the famous beach bars, or just relax at one of the island’s legendary beaches are just some of the reasons why this is a must-visit destination.
